Two suspects have been arrested in connection with the abduction of an Assistant Commissioner of Police, ACP, Musa Rabo who was kidnapped at the weekend, and the ACP was said to have been rescued, unhurt.

On Sunday evening a combined team of Police officers from Kaduna, Niger and Zone 7 Command Headquarters Abuja, with supports from members of the elite Special Forces of the Nigeria Police Force conducted the rescue operation.

Recall that last weekend, ACP Musa was kidnapped while he was travelling alone with his private car in civilian dress, and the abductors were said to have called the police command demanding N50 million ransom.

Meanwhile, the Nigeria Police has twitted in that regards saying, “It was purely an opportunistic crime, indiscriminately and maliciously targeted at citizens using that particular road. He was, perhaps, positionally unlucky at the time of the incident”.

They said investigation is ongoing to unravel the circumstances surrounding the abduction.
