Reports have emerged that the former Zamfara State deputy governor, Ibrahim Wakkala has expressed interest in the treatment of the 17-year-old girl who set herself ablaze, because of her fiancé inability to pay a dowry of N17,000 for her marriage.

The teenage girl, Aisha attempted suicide on August 8, when she deliberately set herself ablaze, but was rescued. The girl was severely burnt and was taken to herbal home for treatment as neither her lover boy nor her parents could afford her hospital bill.
But the situation has now attracted the attention of the former deputy governor who has moved her to a hospital where she is currently receiving treatment at the expense of the politician.
Aisha attempted the suicide at Albarkawa area of Gusau, the state capital. The story was earlier reported by NATION’S PRIDE.
