NCDC officials taking the corpse away from the scene

There was pandemonium at Chafuyi Community near Apo Mechanic Village, Abuja on Thursday, April 30 when a young man identified as Emeka slumped at a food stuff shop and died, which people feared it could be caused by Coronavirus.

Emeka who hails from Nkerefi Town in Nkanu East local government area of Enugu State was suffering from epilepsy, according to neighbours and his family member who spoke to NATIONSPRIDE.

As at the time of filing this report, officials of the National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) had arrived the scene, took samples from the deseased and evacuated the corpse to the morgue.

Policemen were also on ground to prevent the crowd from going close to the corpse.

Someone who identified himself as Emeka’s neighbour said he had fallen so many times before from epilepsy, and insisted that the death was not caused by Coronavirus.
