After his dethronement, Muhammad Sanusi II has spoken to the people of Kano State, saying he was leaving the throne a fulfilled person.
He called for calm, and assured that he has taken everything in good faith.Sanusi who made the statement in Hausa on Monday, March 09, 2020, said he followed the footsteps of his grand-father, Sanusi I.
“l am urging for calm as l take the dethronement in good faith . Everything that has a beginning must definitely have an end”, he said.
He directed members of his family, loyalists to pay homage to the new Emir of Kano in order to preserve the dignity of the royal institution.
He equally said he was leaving the throne as a fulfilled and happy man, as he has everything to thank the almighty Allah for making things to happened the way they happen.
He, however, prayed for peace, progress and economic buoyancy of Kano and Nigeria. And finally pray for a happy ending .
