Senator Abdullahi Adamu representing Nasarawa West in the National Assembly has charged Nigerians to always regard the diversities existing between them as a source of strength that should be cashed upon to make the country great for the betterment of all and sundry.
The senator made this insertion at Dari community in Kokona Local government area, at the weekend, during the 60th birthday of Hon. John Dogara Wajeson Mamman, the special Adviser to the Nasarawa State Governor on Local Governments and Community Development.
He stated that since it was the wish of God to create and see people of different background living together, Nigerians should resolve to live in peace and harmony with one another especially since no one can question the authority or decision of God.
Senator Adamu who is the pioneer civilian governor of Nasarawa State congratulated the celebrant, Mr. John Mamman, who served his administration as a permanent secretary. He advised him to continue to dedicate life towards the service of God and humanity so as to continue to be remembered during and even after his life.
He then appealed to all public servants or those in position of authorities to strive and emulate the celebrants whom he said apart from a public servants, traditional titleholder, community and political leader, he is still a big time farmer that has been impacting positively to the lives of many people within and outside his community.
In his remarks the Abaga of Toni Chiefdom, His Royal Highness Lawrence Sylvester Ayih ll, congratulated the celebrant and tasked him to continue to make his positive contributions towards the development of the community, the state and the country as parts of responsibility.
Contributing, the Sangarin Amba, Mr Martins Abeshi described the celebrant as a strong pillar in the Toni Chiefdom and Nasarawa state as a whole, and wished him the best in his future endeavours.
Delivering his sermons during the 60th year anniversary service at the St Michael Catholic Church, Dari, the Catholic Bishop of Lafia Diocese, Most Reverend Dr Ishaya Audu praised the celebrant whom he described as a true believer of Christ and a great servant of God and humanity tasked him to continue to do his best in that regards.
While praying God to continue to strengthen him with faith, good health, wisdom and capacity to continue to serve humanity, he urged others to emulate him with a view to build a better society.
Earlier, the celebrant, Mr John Mamman, appreciated God Almighty for granting him life and good health to reach the age of 60, which he described as a rare opportunity to continue to serve his creator and humanity.
He expressed his gratitude to all that contributed in making his life meaningful in one way or the other and prayed God to reward them abundantly. The occasion was well-attended by dignitaries from across the state, and also witnessed the formal launching of a book authored by the celebrant titled ‘The Grateful Heart’.
