The former chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof Maurice Iwu, has pleaded not guilty when he was re-arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over the allegation of N1.

23bn fraud.

But the presiding judge, Justice Nicholas Oweibo granted him bail and adjourned till November 25, 2019.

Recall that Professor Maurice Iwu was first arraigned on August 8, 2019 before vacation judge, Justice Chuka Obiozor, and he pleaded not guilty. Iwu was brought again today before Justice Oweibo on the same charge.
