Governor Sule

The vice chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Nasarawa West Senatorial zone of Nasarawa State, Alhaji Hassan Iyal has described Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State as an engineer who knows his onions and taking his time to study the entire state in all ramifications before applying necessary remedies.

The APC stalwart who made this known in an exclusive interview with our correspondent in Keffi, recently, on the backdrop of some critics that they have not notice any tangible progress from the governor since he came on board.

According to him, Nasarawa State is basically a civil servants state that solidly depends on federal government’s monthly allocations owing to the fact that the state does not have any illegible source of internally generating revenue capacity.

His words, “The governor came on board as a good ambassador of the state who spent most of his time working in the business conglomerate outside the state as such he needed to restudy the entire state in all aspects to enable him execute the needful projects to the people of the state.

“But I want to assure you that Governor Sule’s administration will soon prove his critics wrong. At the moment he has been stabilized because results have started manifesting. Like in the areas of civil service reforms committee that he has put in place, they have already submitted their reports, which led to the reduction of state ministry to 13.”

He continued, “You are also aware that last week he sent names of prospective commissioners to State Assembly for screening, names of special advisers, special assistants and some board members respectively.

“The governor is now fully ready as regards implementing his programmes and the agenda of our great political party to the good people of Nasarawa State that voted him massively. On this note I want to use this medium to urge the people of the state to remain focus”, Iyal stated.
