A member of the
Nasarawa State House of Assembly representing Keffi East constituency, Hon.
Abdulazeez Sulaimen Danladi, has assured his of determinations towards the
initiation and presentation of a comprehensive youth development policy bill
before the House for consideration.
Danladi who emerged under the platform of the Social Democratic Party, SPD, is also the present Sarkin Matasan Keffi (Youths Leader) explained that the proposed bill would seek to enable or compel the state government to establish or set up skill acquisition centres across the state to afford the youths the opportunities to learn practical skills in many aspects of human endeavours as well as assist them to go into other socio-economic ventures especially in agriculture and other commercial activities.
Speaking with newsmen
during a one-day symposium organized by the coalition of youths and Keffi students
at the Assembly Hall of the Nasarawa State University Keffi, the lawmaker
expressed the optimism that such efforts would go a long way in boosting the
productive capacities of the Youths, enhance their creativity as well as lead
them towards self-employment and self-reliance.
He also noted that
such efforts, if come into being, would also keep the youths away from
indulging in anti-social vices or crime thus leading them to becoming good,
responsible and reliable future leaders that everybody would be proud of.
The lawmaker further
assured that as a great pillar in youths emancipation and welfare, he would
always stand firmly with them by ensuring that youth-friendly policies and programmes
were always in place to enable them benefit from it and boost their God-given
potentials for their own benefits and the of the society in general.
While expressing his
gratitude to the coalition of youths and Keffi students for what he described
as bold and worthy initiative coming especially at this period that the youths
need to be rescued from the chains of various anti-social vices that often
strangulates their peace and progress, he tasked them to continue to initiate
such wonderful programmes and also urged others to emulate
them.
Danladi who further hailed the people of his constituency for standing by him firmly against all odds, pledged to continue to do his best in order to justify the confidence reposed on him, stressing that the struggle for their welfare would be his driving force.
He however solicited for more support, prayers and co-operations to enable him succeed in the task of giving them a better representation that would enable them reap the fruits of democracy in proper terms.
