The Ekiti State governor and chairman Nigerian Governors Forum, Mr. Kayode Fayemi has exonerated his Rivers counterpart, Governor Nyesom Wike on the controversy trailing the purported mosque demolition in Port Harcourt, the state capita.
Governor Fayemi who spoke to newsmen when they visited the disputed piece of land said the controversy is like a storm in a tea cup, because they could not see any evidence of building at the site as alleged.
According to him, “With what I have seen here, I cannot see any evidence of any building that was demolished. If you are somebody who wants a place of worship, you should find a way to oblige them. I know within your capacity it will be possible to find a place for them.
“From what I have seen here, I think it is a storm in a tea Cup. There is nothing to warrant this kind of media hype that has been given to it.”
